Hello my dear readers,
Very exciting post for me today: I got my first Butter London polish!
I've been wanting to try this brand for quite some time now having heard/read so many good things about it. Well the day has come!
A while back, as I was googling swatches of these polishes, I fell in love with a color: Bossy boots. As I was observing how gorgeous it was, I couldn't stop smiling to myself because the name fits me like a glove! I feel ashamed to say this, but I've often been told that I can be a bit tough and authorititarian, although always well-intentioned and fair. My friends tease me about it and we always get a good laugh about the tiny little friendly tyrant that lives somewhere inside me! I've tried becoming more mellow, in vain. I guess that's just the way I am and believe that there are just somethings you can't really change about yourself.
On to the pictures:
Bossy boots is a beautiful yellow based seafoam green. A perfect seafoam green in my opinion (Mr Pantone agrees!).
I don't know if all Butter London polishes are like this, but the formula was great:
Opaque in 2 self leveling coats; no brush strokes, bubbles or bald patches. A dream!
I can't wait to try more of these, and won't have to wait too long because I went a little crazy and bought 6 of them!! I know I know, shame on me!
What are your preferred Butter London polishes? Any recommendations?
Thanks for reading :)
Oh! and I squared out my nails a bit and am not sure about the shape... What do you think suits me better??

I LOVE this color! Saw it on one of the blogs and fell in love with it. This would be one of my first Butter Londons, too if I ever get around to getting one! I'm a huge green fan. The formula looks amazing and it's such a subtle yet unique pale green. Your nails look great too!
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth. Thanks for your nice comment!
DeleteI was really eager to try Butter London polishes, and for the time being Bossy Boots is the only one I've had time to have fun with. But I must say, as much as I loved the color, the polish chipped after not even 24hrs... It might be me, it might just be this polish or a bad topcoat/basecoat combination, I don't now...
Great pick! I love Butter London so much! I need to get this one. It's such a unique color. And I think your new nail shape looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Chelsea,
DeleteI could really picture you wearing this! I'm sure it would look good with your Gouda!! Just kidding!
Wow, that's a good pick, I'd buy this color too, such a nice green
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'd been eyeballing it for quite some time!
DeleteI love your nail shape! I wish I could get mine to be square! Love this green but am not a fan of butter London.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you miss Fingers! You have a great nail shape! Why would you want them to be square and why can't you get them square?
ReplyDeleteIt looks so nice.
