OPI Zurich Surprise

Hello my lovely readers,

Today I have a gorgeous vampy polish to show you: OPI's Zurich Surprise, a dark almost black plummy burgundy.

This classic beauty was made exclusively for Switzerland and I must admit, I feel very special wearing it!

I was really surprised by the formula, because normally with this type of color, the consistency is thick, goopy and uneasy to work with. On the contrary, Zurich surprise was a dream, spread like butter and dried in a pinch. Must be the Swiss quality :)

Pictured here are 2 coats and a layer of topcoat.

As I'm off to NY tomorrow and haven't scheduled any posts (didn't have time, sorry) as I did when I went to Cuba, you will have to wait for my return to see my little fingers and more gorgeous polishes :)

Thanks for reading.

OPI's Royal Rajah Ruby

Hi lacquered ladies (and gents if some of you read my posts),

How are you all doing? Managed to remove every last trace of your sticky Halloween makeup? :)

Today I have a gorgeous vampy polish to show you: Royal Rajah Ruby.

I've been wanting to pick this one up for ages and finally decided to since I'm in such a dark polish phase right now.

Royal Rajah Ruby bears it's name well, although it's shade could also be qualified as garnet. It's a classic blackened red drenched in ruby colored shimmers. Simply gorgeous.

The formula wasn't as great as I hoped it would be: a little too thick and tricky to apply. I had to add a few drops of thinner before even using it, and even then it was still too thick.

Two coats were needed due to the bald patches caused by the polishe's consistency. I topped the lacquer off with one coat of Sèche and didn't experience any shrinkage.

What do you think of Royal Rajah Ruby? Have you ever tried it?

Thanks for reading!

OPI's Lincoln Park At Midnight

Hi lacquer fellows,

Happy Halloween!

Today I'm showing you OPI's Lincoln Park at Midnight, one of my preferred polishes.

I'm usually not a fan of dark currant colored polishes, aside from Chanel's Rouge Noir, but this one is different because it has a gorgeous shimmer that gives it so much more depth than your average vampy lacquer.

Lincoln Park at Midnight has a wonderful formula that I had absolutely no issues with. Thanks OPI :)
I applied 2 coats followed by Sèche Vite. Yes I gave Sèche another chance since it played so well with My Private Jet, and am pleased to announce that there was no shrinkage in sight. Hip hip hurray!

As you can see in the pictures, this polish has almost the exact shade of an eggplant, veggie that I can't get to close to because of my allergies. Never liked them anyway, aside from their color.

I know that many people love this polishe's sister, Lincoln Park After Dark but I don't care for it too much because there are so many similar polishes out there. I way prefer the At Midnight version.
