Nars - Night Porter

Today I have a gorgeous Nars polish to show you:  Night Porter which is a dark metallic forest green with mustard/gold colored shimmers.

Depending on the light, it can seem very dark, almost black, or rather bright, I'm thinking almost emerald green.

One word: stunning!

I applied two easy coats followed by Revlon's Fast drying topcoat.

There were 3 polishes in this collection that came out during Fall; I also got Night Flight which I will be wearing shortly. Have you tried any of them?

Thanks for reading.

Essie's Brooch the subject & China Glaze Golden enchantment

Hello lacquer lovers,

Quick post today: a nice sparkly nude mani using Essie's Brooch the Subject & China Glaze's Golden Enchantment.

Brooch the Subject is a slightly pink based nude creme polish that applies very nicely and is gives an opaque coverage in 2 thin coats.

I really like nude mani's but like them even more topped with some glitter or a flakie polish, so I decided to spice Brooch the Subject up with Golden Enchantment which is a gold rainbow glitter polish in a clear base. It's the golden equivalent as Fairy Dust that many of you use.

Brooch the Subject (alone).

Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

It's 1:45 AM, I just got back from the Christmas dinner at my in-laws and wanted to wish you all a wonderful Christmas wherever you are.

I'm not a big fan of all the Christmas shopping/present craze but cherish the simple moments I can spend with my family and friends.

To me, all that really matters in life is love and sharing good moments with people that are dear to me, so I hope you are all surrounded by your loved ones and get a taste of what is the most important to me.

Hugs and kisses,

Emilie

Essie's Merino Cool

Hello lacquer lovers,

How are you all doing?

Today I have another Essie polish to show you: Merino Cool.

I don't know why I didn't purchase this polish earlier, it's absolutely gorgeous.

My pictures make it seem a tad more grey than it is in really. In real life it's a bit warmer and more purple.

The formula was great: two easy coats followed by Revlon's Fast Dry Topcoat.

Don't you just love these dusty murky colors? I certainly do and can't wait to find more to add to my stash!

Thanks for reading :)

Essie's Dive Bar

Hello my dears,

As promised, here is another of the Essie polishes I picked up the other day: Dive Bar.

I was really eager to try this polish as it's color reminded me of a scarab and I love those little beetles.
I was hoping the teal/purple duochrome effect would be as amazing on my nails as it was in the bottle, but was a bit disappointed... Nevertheless, the color is gorgeous and I don't regret my purchase.

As you can see, Dive Bar is a very dark, almost black shimmery teal polish.

Only two coats were needed to reach full opacity as the formula was great. No streaks, bubbles or bald patches whatsoever.

For my topcoat I used Essie's Out The Door, but I'm not crazy about it as it doesn't seem to be self leveling...

Have you tried Dive Bar?

      Essie's Over the Edge

      Hi,

How have you guys been? I haven't been posting much recently but have many new gorgeous polishes to show you in the coming days.

Essie's retail line finally hit the racks in France and I'm so happy about that. So the other day I went a bit crazy and purchased some gorgeous polishes.
Although I live in Switzerland, the border is only a few minutes away. If you look at a map, you'll notice that Geneva is surrounded by France.

Let's begin with Over the Edge. I had been eyeballing this polish for months but just couldn't resolve ordering it on the net because I've had too many bad surprises and didn't want to spend my pennies on a polish I'd only wear once.
You might be familiar with Over the Edge, one of the many gunmetal gray polishes you can find on the market. It looks a bit like the color of a black pearl but doesn't have as many green undertones as Chanel's version (Black pearl). I have that one as well and will soon post a picture to compare.

Over the Edge's formula was great: 2 coats for complete opacity and no streaks, bubbles or bald patches. For my topcoat I used Revlon's Quick Dry Topcoat, one of the best TC I've tried, but you surely already know that as I've written about it before and many bloggers rave about it.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more Essie delights!

      Essie's Sand Tropez

      Hello there!

I've heard a lot about the polish I'm showing you today and wasn't sure I liked it in swatches seen on internet, but I finally picked it up and am so glad I did.

      I present you: Sand Tropez.

What a silly name. For having been to St Tropez many times, I can assure you the sand's color over there is by far very different than what Essie supposes... It may look like sand on some of the Caribbean beaches, I'm thinking Barbuda, Antigua of Petit St Vincent, but in no means are the sandy beaches of France this color!

Anyway, I really like this polish and will wear it again soon.

      Have you tried it?

      Thanks for reading!

      China Glaze Peachy Keen

      Hi,

Since the weather here has been rainy and cold, I felt like wearing a polish full of sunshine. As I was frantically looking through my helmer in order to fulfill my sunny aspiration, I stumbled upon China Glaze's Peachy Keen and thought it would be perfect for the occasion.

I applied two coats followed by Fast Forward topcoat.

Don't you just love this color?!:)

      Thanks for reading!
