Hello my dears,
I'm a bit sad today. My boyfriend left this morning for his work in Egypt. He's an archaeologist/egyptologist and went on a dig near the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. As usual, he'll be working in the funerary temple of Amenhotep III (Akhenaten's father and Tutankhamen's grandfather). He'll be away for almost two months. It's not that long when you think of it but it seems like an eternity when you are in love.
I'll be home alone for the next few weeks and I guess I'll go all polish crazy, hauling and applying like a maniac, night and day, well I hope not too much for the sake of my digits (bank and nail related!).
Anyways, I wanted to share with you a gorgeous polish he bought me before leaving: Essie's Sweet Talker.
Not much to say about this beauty...it's gorgeousness speaks for itself.
2 easy coats of a great formula filled with discreet shimmer.
Voilà:
Do you have a preferred color that you wear when you are sad?
Thanks for reading :)

Aw cheer up ): It will go buy sooner than you think and just remember that February is a short month too (: This is a very pretty color! I really like it a lot! I tend to wear glitters and bright colors when I'm gloomy. Their hue distracts me a bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet message! I feel fine now and actually don't mind being home alone; I have the bed all to myself and can do whatever I want whenever I want! Not that I can't do that when he's here, but it's just nice to watch old episodes of Sex and the city without seeing his eyeballs roll!
Deleteoh wow!! c'est vraiment très joli! J'adore l'irisé bleu dedans.
ReplyDeleteJe l'aime beaucoup aussi mais c'est dommage que les irisures ne se voient pas davantage.
DeleteBeautiful and so serene!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the time will fly by for you.
Serene is a good word to describe it, I hadn't thought of it! Thanks for your kind message.
DeleteCan I just say that I love Ancient Egypt and think its so awesome that your boyfriend is doing a dig there! I know it sucks that he's gone-but just think of how cool it is for what he's doing! I would love to do that for a living! I always turn to brown polish when I'm sad or happy or anything!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice message. I love Egypt too and am actually finishing off my studies in Egyptology/history of religion.
DeleteI'm so proud of my boyfriend and can't wait to go on a dig with him if I find a position soon.
Have you ever been to Egypt? I ever you want to plan a trip let me know and I'd be glad to help. I go there often and even lived there about 10 years ago.
Love that color :) I tagged you ^^ http://psychonails.blogspot.com/2012/02/11-questions-tag.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tag! I'll try to do it soon but am swamped with work for the time being :(
