China Glaze's Starboard

Hi!

For my NOTD I used a beautiful malachite green from China Glaze's 2011 Anchors Away collection: Starboard (#949).

The formula on this polish was good, needing only two thin coats for the color and coverage to be fully opaque. The lacquer dried quickly to a very glossy finish; I did although apply a topcoat (Sèche Vite).

You can see that I smudged the lacquer on my index and middle fingers... That happened as I was picking up my gorgeous malachite stone. I fixed the polish after I took the photos and was too lazy to take more pictures :) so sorry for that!

What types of greens to you go for?

Thanks for reading!

  1. This is really pretty! I'm not usually a fan of green polishes, but I like this one.

  2. I love green! Starboard is so vibrant, but muted and dusty at the same time. So pretty :)
I have to say OPI Jade is the New Black is my favorite green polish, it's going to be epic to wear in fall/winter. :)

  3. @ Holly. I didn't use to like greens but I'm such a sucker for them now! Try a nice pastel green, that's how I got hooked. I like OPI's Stranger Tides and Mermaid's tears. Revlon's Minted is really nice too!

@Something polished. I totally agree! I haven't tried OPI's Jade is the new black but will check it out!
